EasyJet confirms new flights from Southend

Whilst experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have predicted that Spain's property market will experience further falls in housing values, many commentators are expecting exactly the opposite to happen in the Murcia region.

In his comments on the overall health of the Spanish economy, James Daniel, IMF mission chief, explained that although the country's government has taken positive steps to encourage a recovery in the general economy, there are still a number of challenges to overcome. Among them is the real estate sector, with Mr Daniel noting that there is still a large amount of unsold stock on the market and he predicted that "house prices probably also have further to fall". He also pointed out that the housing industry as a whole appears to have "returned to its historical average in terms of employment".

Despite that, however, the current economic situation presents a great opportunity for Spanish property investors to find a great deal on a home in certain regions. One of those regions is Murcia which recently confirmed that billions are now being invested in the development of a new Paramount Theme Park only 20 minutes away from the new Corvera airport. Coupled with the fact that easyJet have just confirmed new flights from Southend Airport, it is almost certain that there will be a renewed interest in Spanish property in the area which, in turn, should results in a steady increase in the price of property in the Murcia region.
