SEARCH FOR CAR GANG WHO STOLE UNMARKED POLICE CAR

The Guardia Civil and National Police are on the lookout for three vehicles, a black Seat Leon with partial registration XX53 FHC and a white Ford Focus, partial registration XX12 FMZ, wanted in connection with the armed theft of a motor vehicle at the weekend in La Manga.

The third vehicle they are looking for is a 3-door silver-grey Volkswagen Golf which was stolen by the gang at around 17:30 on Saturday, which, believed unbeknown to the robbers, is an unmarked police car.

The description of the people involved are that they are three men, believed to be of Columbian nationality, and thought to be part of an active group of car thieves operating in the La Manga, Mar Menor and Cartagena areas.

Anybody who spots the vehicles are asked to report the matter to the police or Guardia Civil immediately, but do not approach the suspects as they are believed to be armed.
